Our professional measuring service is completely free and designed to take the guesswork out of your flooring project. One of our expert estimators will visit your home to take accurate measurements, assess the conditions of the subfloor, and discuss any specific requirements with you.

In most cases, you’ll receive a full quote on the day with either the estimator in your home or from the showroom, ensuring you have everything you need to make an informed decision – quickly and confidently.

At Littleborough Carpets, we provide a full start-to-finish service to ensure your flooring is fitted to the highest standard – with minimal disruption to your day. With our 10 expert fitting teams, we pride ourselves on reliable, professional service from the moment you book to the final finishing touch. Carpet fitting, along with laminate, vinyl, and LVT, is a job best left to the experts. Once the installation is complete, we’ll clean up the area and dispose of any waste materials. They’ll also take away your offcuts and give your new flooring a vacuum so it’s ready for you to enjoy straight away. Fitting costs vary depending on the size of your room, where the floor is to be laid and the flooring type being installed. Once measured, your surveyor will provide you with the full labour costs – payable once your flooring installation is complete.

Morning Call & Arrival.

1. On the morning of your fitting, one of our fitters will give you a call to provide an estimated time of arrival. This allows you to plan your day with confidence, knowing when to expect us.
2. Pre-installation walkthrough

When the team arrives, they’ll introduce themselves and walk through the area with you. They’ll confirm the details of the installation and answer any last-minute questions you may have.

3. Area preparation, our team will:

• Remove any old flooring (if pre-arranged)
• Prepare the subfloor as needed.
• Ensure your new flooring is ready.

We kindly ask that the area is cleared of furniture and personal items unless removal have been included in the service.

4. Professional installation
   Whether it’s carpet, vinyl, laminate, or LVT, your flooring will be installed with precision and care. Our fitters are experienced, tidy, and committed to delivering a flawless finish.

5. Clean-up
   Once the installation is complete, our team will thoroughly clean the area, remove any waste or offcuts, and give your new flooring a vacuum. This ensures your space is left clean, tidy, and ready for you to enjoy straight away.

FITTING

Whatever flooring you’ve chosen, be it carpet, vinyl, laminate, or LVT, the professional fitters have the skills and experience to get a perfect fit. They can also install the underlay and necessary accessories, such as door plates and grippers, to ensure a complete and secure flooring installation.

UPLIFT & REMOVAL

If you need your old flooring removed before installing your new floor, we offer a professional uplift and removal service. Our experienced team will carefully remove carpets, vinyl, laminate, or other flooring materials, preparing your space for a flawless new installation.

This service does come at an extra charge, but we’ll always make sure you’re fully informed before we get started – no surprises, just smooth and easy from beginning to end.

SUBFLOOR PREPERATION

A perfect new floor needs a smooth, solid foundation. From installing a DPM (damp proof membrane) to preparing your subfloor with ply board or a latex smoothing compound (screed), the fitters can ensure your subfloor is prepared for your flooring choice. We’ll assess the condition of your subfloor when we visit your house to measure up and let you know if work needs doing.

If your existing flooring is still in place at the time of measurement, we would need to return to reassess once it has been removed to ensure accurate planning and fitting.

DOOR CLEARANCE

Our expert estimators will carefully assess the clearance under your doors during the measurement visit. They will provide you with professional advice on any necessary adjustments. While we do remove doors to facilitate the flooring installation, we do not provide door trimming services ourselves. However, we can recommend a trusted professional for any trimming that may be required.

CARPET WHIPPING & TAPING

Carpet whipping and taping is a popular, on-trend finishing technique that not only enhances the look of your carpet but also extends its durability.

FITTING GUARANTEE
